From another Twi-hard...
What I find odd, ironic and, in a way, kind of spooky is that ILoveEdward's post could've been written by each and every one of us. We all come from different backgrounds, different walks of life, different nationalities, some of us speak different languages and there is certainly a wide range in our ages but we all, to a woman, had these books affect us precisely the same way. It makes me wonder, if we had all been in just a slightly different place in our lives or in a slightly different frame of mind at the time we all picked these books up for the first time, might it have affected how the books touched us? Would they have touched us so deeply or would they have just been another book read and filed away? Why did these books touch us but leave some others who've read them unaffected?
