TV and Me

My sister-in-law accused me, us really, of watching a lot of TV. It was interesting to me, that she thought we were TV junkies. I don't feel we are. My kids, however......

Bahaha!

This past Christmas Kyle received a long time wanted gift, Season One of 24.

We have been watching an episode here or there, over the week between Christmas Day and New Years. He loves it. I am okay with it. It's not my favorite, as I would prefer LOST

or even Chuck these days, but for now, it's pretty good.

The TV shows we record and watch when we have time are:

House (just me, on Tuesday nights after the kids are in bed and Kyle is still at Mutual.)
Private Practice
Dirty Sexy Money
Lost
Heros

That is it. Maybe it seems like a lot, but when you don't have to watch commericials ever, thanks DVR, it's only 4 shows (only 45 mins each) for the two of us. I don't watch any daytime television, seriously. Not one commericial or sitcom ever. Our TV is in the basement, and I just don't go down there and sit and watch it. Ever.

With the tv break nearly over, I am eagerly anticiapting LOST's return, am going to tape the Bachelor--so I have something to watch when Kyle is gone on nights that we can't watch one of the above 4 shows or 24, and am now going to be looking into Chuck.

There it is. My TV addictions.Though it's hardly any kind of addiction as we only really sit down for LOST when it's on. The rest we watch after they are taped. I watch what I want, when I want though. Thanks again DVR!

I LOVE, love, love 24. We also watch Lost... but it is the most frustrating show ever, Grrr! I too am anticipating the Bachelor tonight. Oh... another good one is Prison Break. I never watch daytime television either, it is so overrated.

I have to agree about the DVR. I Absolutely LOVE it and couldn't do without now after having it. I'm also excited for Lost and I also don't watch daytime TV. I have to just say about your blog...I Agree.

How are you feeling by-the-way? Haven't seen you for a while. We miss you guys too.
I guess it's all relative- that's four more shows than we watch- but WAY less than my in-laws!
Have fun watching your shows and yes, thank goodness for DVR!!

I think that most of us have our shows! We never miss The Office. Plus we have all the Seinfeld seasons on DVD and we watch them most weeknights because of our lack of cable! I have all the Gilmore Girls and I watch them while Matt is doing homework most nights! As for our daytime routine, if it is not on PBS, then I don't see it! I'll admit that after the kids go to bed, I should do something a lot more productive, but it is usual watchin' the tube!

I love love love CHUCK. Mike and I have watched it religiously since the premiere. We also love Pushing Daisies but it is being canceled, so sad. I have my shows and I may be a T.V. junkie at night after I put the kids to bed?!? What would we do without DVR? Why don't you watch THE OFFICE?

I cant wait for LOST and AMERICAN IDOL to start.

We watched the edited season of 24. It was really good, but really violent all at the same time.

Can't wait for LOST premier. I just found out that there is a RS enrichment that night. Looks like I'll have to skip out early on that one.

I love having my TV downstairs so that I DON'T watch it very often. We mostly use it for movies. I'd like to watch the Bachelor one with you if you haven't already. Let me know when you're doing that and I'll try to come over.

Hmm, you must be talking about me Gina. I didn't mean to imply that you are 'junkies'! I bet I watch more TV than you! We are so excited for LOST too, and Scrubs and The Biggest Looser starting tonight. We also watch House and Heroes. If only we had a DVR so we didn't have to watch the commercials too!

I too can not wait for Lost to return. It is so clever! You should start watching Burn Notice on USA channel, it's very good. Thanks again for a New Years Party that rocked (other than the blender incident)!

My hubby and I love House and Lost! SO EXCITED FOR LOST!!! I watch Private Practice too. I have yet to watch the new Bachelor, but I can't WAIT!! (I agree with Amber M. Burn Notice is a great show. Definitely DVR worthy!)

DVR is the ONLY way to go. There is no way for me to justify watching live television. It's a waste of time!

p.s.
you are the cutest!

What would we do without DVR? After having it for a few years watching commercials is stressful. There is nothing wrong with having a few tv shows you're hooked to, we do. Mike and I always record Eli Stone and watch it together on the weekends.
