Blessed to Have Friends

I can't even begin to say how great it is to have friends. Life would be so much harder without them. Some friends you need to see a lot to make the relationship grow. Others take little effort. Some friends you can go weeks without talking to or seeing and when you get together, it's like you haven't missed a beat. Other times, you find friends that you can say little to-because you are hanging out with kids who are running a muck, and still walk away feeling like that was so worth it. Maybe I am not making sense, but my point is:

Kyle and I have some
GREAT FRIENDS!

We appreciate them a lot.

With that being said, I just wanted to highlight an activity we did this weekend. We went swimming. I am so glad that Rachel and Kodi invited us to go. We had been wanting to go, but Heise was just going to cost to much this time. They wanted to go to Green Canyon, some where we hadn't thought of or ever been to. We hadn't even considered it because it's a well kept secret I think! It was half the cost, and so worth it. Best of all, and unexpected was how much Brooklyn LOVED it. She is a fish at heart. We were able to roast hot dogs, really! and have dinner and then swim. It was great. I was also very happy, as were the kids, that Kyle managed to get away from work, to come. It has been incredibly busy for him the last few days. He had to go into work today to make up for it, but I appreciate that he was willing to do so, so that we could spend some time together as a family playing.

Swimming around Christmas/New Years has become a family tradition for us, and I am glad we were able to keep it up this year. Thanks Kodi and Rachel for thinking of us!

The kids looked hilarious in their swimsuits and snow boots.

And as for how hot we adults looked in our swimsuits, without tans, and so-without makeup on us girls, well let's just say, we were Smokin!

Or maybe that was the hot dogs the guys were cooking.

Regardless, there was smoke.

And I am going to chalk the steam up to our sexiness.

You really have never been to Green Canyon?!!!!!!! Man, that is where I learned to swim!!!! The funny thing is, it hasn't changed AT ALL since I was little. That's awesome that you were able to go. I'm glad you had fun. You are one of those friends that even though we don't see each other, we will still laugh at each other when we see each other again. Thanks for calling at all the right times. You will never know what your calls and comments on my blog every so often has meant to me.
