For April Fools I posted we were getting a dog.
We are NOT getting a dog.
Not now, not yet.
Thanks for all the kind comments and well wishing with a new pet! Even though we are NOT getting one.
In other news, I am so glad we have managed to hang on to a friendship that has become strained due to ward boundary changes. You would think it shouldn't be so hard, especially since we adore the Kunz family, but it is. And they feel the same way. Why it's harder due to going to different wards is beyond explaining, but we try to keep our friendship alive and kicking. Even if it means letting the kids stay up way to late and eating our dinner cold because we were so busy helping them eat and cleaning up after them as we go along. (Not that the food was cold, it wasn't, but you get my point, right??)
We hung out last weekend and had some awesome chicken and dutch oven potatoes and brownies to top it off, all while watching some college basketball and talking about Dave Ramsey.
I could stay all night, talking away with them, and never get tired of it. I am sure that the kids would be burning down the house or crawling up the walls, but we wouldn't care. We could talk with Wray and Cortnie for hours. They are the best kind of friends to have. There for you in a pinch, reliable, and time can go by, and when we do manage to find time to hang out it's like we haven't missed a beat.
Kudos to Catelyn, she was our photographer for this one:
Yes, Brooklyn looks stoned. See what happens when you ignore the kids for a few minutes. . .. Bwahahahaha!
(Okay, I photo shopped a better head on that girl. It's not worth trying to get them all to look at the camera at the same time anymore. It's faster just to fix it the 'shop some times!)
