Silly Little Things

Over the last few weeks since my birthday--since my last post--we've had a lot happen. The house sold, we moved, and we're in the process of building. In three days, we'll celebrate Brooklyn's birthday--completing the kid's birthdays for the year. In the process, I've had a some funny, silly things going on and I'm about to share. Wait for it. Okay, here we go: For Valentines, I ordered two Proof Copies of FOR THE LOVE. One for me and one for Kyle. Jeigh! One of my best writing friends. Fake glasses are a hip accessory these days. My kids are so into them. I'm not, I just tied a pair on. I had a writing retreat of my own and it was super fun! Jeigh, Daniel, and Serene Andrea, Gina, and Destiny Time for a color! Went with an Ombre! And here's the finished product.

Beware, Narcissist in the Room

Umm, had to throw this one in . . . I think to myself every year now, on my birthday, how awesome my mom is. I look at photos of myself as a child and think, I was pretty cute kid. I think to myself every year on my birthday, how important each of my children are to me. I think of how significant Kyle's birth was to my life, without even knowing it for 22 years. I wonder how many more births will impact my life. Ahhh, birth day. Blessed day.

Ahhh, Missionaries

We had the chance to feed the Elders on Thursday, and it was so fun. I have to be honest, when I get this kind of opportunity, I miss my days of being a missionary just a bit. For several reasons. (This seems like an entry for my blog about my past, but it's how I was feeling on Thursday after they left.) Stuff I Miss: The friendships. The stuff that is normal, but seems so funny or silly as a missionary. The inside jokes. (Sorry but these three photos are inside jokes and I can't explain them right now. You know how inside jokes go. Plus they are probably only funny to those involved, like most inside jokes are.) The Missionaries who can really teach at Zone Conference. The members who are SOOOO COOL!! District meetings. Tracking into a great potential member, and teaching by the spirit. Witnessing a baptism. Tours at the VC. Lunch at ZC and the sisters from the Stake who provide it, and singing to them. Transfers, ...
