Kyle and I had five young ladies over for a massive dinner party, this past Saturday. There was supposed to be six, but one canceled last minute! Boo. But these sweet girls came anyway, and even though they weren't asked to the dance {Commencement} they refused to sit on the sidelines. SMART GIRLS!
It was all about the drinks though. Brazilian Limeade, which is my friend Camille's contribution. The easy-to-make drink is tantalizing. And liquor free! So it's okay if we went through two gallons.
When we {Kyle, Kambria and I} wrote up the menu, and printed it out fancy, I realized the drink didn't get on the menu. Woops.
Dinner looked like this:

Kyle received a text during dinner that said Owen was on his way with corsages for each of the girls. It was a huge surprise! We had to stall for a while, but the girls didn't seem to mind or notice anything weird, and I was even surprised when he also presented each lady with earrings and a necklace. Talk about going above and beyond!
I truly thought for a minute a few of the girls were going to cry!
When they all stood up to leave, I felt short. These are tall AND lovely ladies!
They didn't even have heels on!
We were so blessed to have these lovely girls in our home for a couple of hours. I'd do it all again too! {Never mind the hours of baking, mixing, dicing, borrowing of cookie sheets, cooling racks and wine glasses, learning how to fold a fancy napkins, using my neighbors' ovens, etc....} A big thanks to Gena and Kambria for all the help! And to Owen for the thoughtful gifts!
I hope their Prom night was memorable and that they will look back on their "Dinner Night with their Bishop" with fondness. I really do.
