You don't celebrate Sibling Day?
You're missing out!
This year marked the first year we initiated Sibling Day in the Lynn Pack family, and we made a trip to Lagoon!
While at the fair, we had discussed going on the rides. Several of us were so tired from driving or getting up at 4 am, that it just wasn't going to happen. I don't remember who said it, but someone suggested we go to Lagoon the following weekend.
Looking back, I'm really surprised that we were able to make it work! With busy schedules and work and such, it's slightly miraculous. I can't think of the last time my siblings and I did anything together- just us 'kids'.
Paula was visiting from Ohio, and we let her come. :) One of the problems we had as kids with Lagoon was the constant need for even numbers. Someone always got to bring a friend or sit out or something.
Paula "got to come" where as the other spouses did not, to balance out the numbers. It was a great way to spend the day initiating her into the family. She had to wear the fanny pack. Okay, not really, but darn near close.
We hit nearly every single ride.
We were sick and achy and exhausted by the end of the day- a nice reminder we aren't 12-18 years old anymore.
I truly hope we can make more time for things like this in the future and that as siblings, we'll always like each other AND love each other.
(On a side sad note, Chad's car was towed while we were gone, and it was a huge mess and financial upheaval. He now has another car, but still, so sad.)
Most of the photos are on facebook, in our family album.

The most controversial photo we posted on facebook. Not sure why, but the list of comments we made was astronomical. |
