All the Little Stuff I've Been Up To

These are just a bunch of random photos from mid-January til now that I have been wanting to blog about!

I made some super delicious Wassail for my Scentsy party and it was such a hit!  I loved it so much that I bought stuff to make it again just for whenever I want! I was very flattered that the recipe was requested by several friends, causing me t o photograph it and blog it on my recipe blog!
What a compliment!
Grandma Betty came to visit and we were so lucky to have her around fora few days!  She got to see Jo and Brooklyn dance and came to one of Landon's basketball games.  Then one afternoon she came over to my house and played a board game with me and Catelyn.

When it came time to say goodbye the little girls cried and were so upset that she had to leave, making a final photo-op next to impossible.  I think it's cute that they don't want her to leave!

Just the other day, the little girls and I got crazy with the yarn and paper bags- making little purses to carry their Valentines in.  They had a blast, and I had more fun that I thought I would doing this little project.  I baked up some Root Beer cookies while we worked, and listened to music.
The recipe for these yummy cookies came from Angie Sargent, and while my older kids don't like them as much as I thought they would, I love them.  Though you really do have to like Root Beer, because they really do taste like the soda!

A big day for us came on February 2nd!  That's Landon's birthday, and this year he turned 8!  We had his baptism that very day, and it was such a blessing to be together as a family and surrounded by loved ones, esp the Grandparents!!!  and including Paula, who extended her trip to be there for us and for Landon! We just wish more of our family could have been there, but traveling is tough to do in the winter and such.

This is my new Scentsy warmer.  I am loving it.  So far I have fallen in love with a new scent- it's called Whiteout.  It's a subtle mint smell, like a great gum.  I could burn that scent all day, every day!
While this may not be so shocking, it's a little bit for me.  Turning 8 means Landon gets to go to scouts, which means a few things for me.  1. I need to learn how to sew those badges on. and 2. Get over my fear of him playing with pocket knives, sticks and fire, and eventually an chopping ax. And 3. Make sure I know all I need to know about what he has to pass off, to get to his Eagle and not let the ball get dropped along the way.   Thankfully it's one day at a time, and right now we'll focus on Street Safety, How to Tie your Shoes, and the Scout Hand Signal and Motto.
