I feel like I have been speeding through the last few weeks of life. Like my foot's all lead, just pushing me past the speed limits. The following things aren't in order, but a few of the things I've had up my sleeve!
The Durango died on us. We spent three and a half weeks finding a replacement vehicle. We are now the owners of this SilverCougar Honda Odyssey. As you can see from the sticker, it's a 2007. It has 93K miles on it, and it came fully loaded. Heated leather seats, dual air, rear air, DVD player, automatic doors. It's definitely a USED vehicle, without some scratches and tears and such, but we really like it.

{We DID NOT originally plan on finding something so beefed up, but the way the dice fell, it just happened. We had a simple 2003 Grand Caravan we wanted, and the dealer would NOT call us back and wasn't at his office when we went over. It has to be a record in the world of car dealing. So we moved on, taking it as a sign.}

On June 10th, I got my MS back from the independent editor I hired. I am already starting to work it over and fix it up.
I had to go to Utah, to meet with my editor, Ashley, but I made the most of the trip by visiting friends. Like Dana Gallant, Amy Savage and Cassie Mae. We had a good time, and most of my thoughts on the trip are about the kids.
My hair really is getting long and I really like it. I am still working out but I am not seeing the last bit of flab go away. It may be due to my steady diet of candy and cookies, I don't know.
Also:
-I helped with a fundraiser benefit dinner for Kari Snedaker, who's dear sweetheart has a terminal brain tumor.
-We finished the basement up! Like paint and carpet and all! It's DONE!
-We showed the house, and then had the fresh new photos take of the house, along with a video.
-I sent Catelyn off to Pine Basin camp!
-Landon had Day Camp for scouts!
-I can't count the number of hours I've lost to car shopping, but it really did take up a lot of time.
-My phone died and I had to get a new one via insurance.
-We celebrated Kyle's 35th birthday! and Father's Day on the same day!
-We made time to go out to dinner with the Kerri and Evan Hansen's. The YW did a fundraiser for Girl's Camp, and Cate was asked to help with it, and the kids went to it, leaving us with a little free time to go out to dinner.
-We had the Kunz's over for FHE! We wanted to go on a bike ride, but it rained that day.
-We had our Ward Camp out, where the kids took turns rock climbing and play kick ball.
-We went to a 50th wedding anniversary for Kyle's friend Jerry. The kids had a blast because they had a bounce house. They fed everyone dinner, and honestly it was a life saver, because we'd spent the whole day car shopping. But it was June 21, the day we decided on the Honda. It was a relief to have dinner covered, spend time with friends, and relax while the kids played, after ending the search for a car.
-I've done laundry load after laundry load, sent kids to parties, camp, and out to play. We've hit the doctor for Jo (Bladder Infection) and are doing the Summer Library Reading program.
-I get constant World Cup updates, via Kyle, and that makes me smile.
-And we hit a movie today. (The kids and me, not Kyle, or Catelyn.)
On my TO DO LIST still is to clean the Honda, since it never got a detail, help a friend build a website and edit my MS.
I'm really not in a hurry to get things done, rushing 'round until life's no fun, but it has been super busy since school let out. This is the first day we've had NOTHING serious going on.
Except we're headed to Pine Basin to see Catelyn, for Parents' Night. And I want to make some Peanut Butter Blossoms to take her.
